Crowborough Beacon Lodge No 8573

Consecrated on 5th April 1974. The granting of a Charter to, and the Consecration of Crowborough Beacon Lodge filled a rather conspicuous gap on the map of the Province of Sussex as there were no masonic lodges.

Crowborough Beacon Lodge is a Craft Lodge purely to cover the Crowborough area where there is a population of about 21000.

When the Unit meets: Third Friday in January, March, April, May, September (Installation) October and November.

Interesting Trivia: The late PastPGM RW Kenneth Eastwood Thomas was a appointed and invested Steward at the Consecration. He was WM in 1983 and became PGM in 2007.
