William De Warenne Lodge No 6139

We are a Masonic Lodge which has continued to support Mid Sussex communities and charities from our consecration in 1945.

Since then we have been encouraging local men of all ages to share our core ideals of Friendship, Integrity, Charity and Respect.

We originally came together at the old Downs Hotel, Keymer, Hassocks, from 1945-64. We then held meetings at Strood's Hotel Sayers Common, Ockley Lodge Hotel Hassocks, Wivelsfield Village Hall and the Lewes Masonic Temple.

After this somewhat nomadic start we eventually settled at the Uckfield Masonic Centre, where Freemasons have been meeting since 1893 and William de Warenne Lodge since 1988.

Our Logo depicts the colours of William de Warenne, a Knight at the Court of William the Conqueror.

If you would like to learn more about our history and why we are called William de Warenne Lodge feel free to download our recently produced 75th Anniversary book, "William de Warenne 75 Years On", written by one of our members, by clicking here.

The Craft Lodge meets every 2nd Wednesday in February, March, April, November and December, at 18:00. The Installation meeting is held in October at 17:30.

The Royal Arch Chapter meets on the 1st Tuesday in March (installation), the last Friday in September and the 2nd Tuesday in December.

During the Masonic season our Craft Lodge of Instruction is held at Wivelsfield Church Hall, Church Lane, Wivelsfield. We meet on the 3rd and 4th (and sometimes the 5th) Wednesday's of the month from 7:35pm. We also meet for the Officers Rehersal at Uckfield on the 1st Wednesday of each Masonic month.
